Top 10 Places To Visit In The USA

While the United States may not be counted among the most tourist-frequented countries globally, its allure lies in how cinema has transformed numerous American cities into iconic or coveted dream destinations.

Although the United States is not among the world’s most touristic countries, cinema has turned many American cities into world icons or dream destinations. Its international tourism is mostly concentrated on its natural beauty spots, whether they are newer or older, but all of them have their own charms. Here is a list of my favorite cities in the United States if you’re looking for inspiration:

Honolulu

The capital of Hawaii, Honolulu, is surrounded by so much mysticism that some people do not even consider it as a possible destination. But the truth is that, because of all of the Honolulu activities, it is highly recommended. In addition to its sunsets, beaches, and nature, you can also visit Pearl Harbor, one of the most bloody and known episodes of history, to remember one of the most bloody and known episodes of the present era, if you like history.

New York

As the tourist mecca of this country par excellence, it is a cosmopolitan city where you can and should do a bit of everything.

There are many popular attractions in New York, including the Empire State Building, Grand Central Terminal, Chrysler Building, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Times Square, and Central Park.

There are internationally renowned museums such as the MOMA, the Metropolitan Museum of Art or MET, the American Museum of Natural History or the Guggenheim, but there are also popular sites like Little Italy, Brooklyn, Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty, Coney Island, Lincoln Center, Broadway theaters and many more.

You probably know 90% of what I just mentioned already. That’s how famous New York is. The NY City Pass lets you visit the most iconic sites while saving 40% on the six most popular attractions. It normally costs $193, but today, on the website, you can get it for $106.

Boston & Washington

As we are in New York, we can visit Boston and Washington, two of the country’s oldest and most historic cities.

The most common way to reach both cities is by train, using Amtrak.

Boston offers good discounts if you book at least fifteen days in advance, with rates starting at $ 49.

There are trolley rides, tourist tours, and ethnic and gastronomic festivals in Boston, a typical New England city. During certain times of the year, you can even see whales on cruises around the port at sunset or at midnight. There are many walks along the coast.

The Arnold Arboretum, parks and public squares, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, the closed garden of Trinity Church, the beautiful Public Library, almost a museum and the Italian quarter and the Jewish quarter are also good destinations.

San Francisco

As we have seen it in many movies, we can’t miss the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Chinatown, Cointower, museums, cable car, and trams.

Pier 39, with its restaurants and bars, at Fisherman’s Wharf, offers the best views of the sea. Lombard Street is a walk worth taking, with its houses and gardens, as well as the beautiful Presidio and Yerba Buena Gardens.

Museums include the Exploratorium, the Asian Art Museum, the Jewish Museum and the Legion of Honor, which was built in memory of soldiers killed in World War I.

New Orleans

In addition to the French influence in the French Quarter, it can also be found in the food. It is a green, lush, sunny city.

In addition to the United States Custom House, the Backstreet Cultural Museum, the Presbytere, the Cabildo, the Longue Vue Residence, the San Luis Cemetery, the Hermann-Grimae Residence, several houses from the 18th and XIX centuries, old plantations, and several churches, the city has many museums related to its history.

Chicago

After New York and Los Angeles, it is known as the City of Wind.

Visit the Willis Tower, the second tallest building in North America, with its glass box that seems to float in space, the Buckingham Fountain in Grant Park, with a show of colors and music, or ride the Navy Pier Ferris wheel.

Chicago has beautiful architecture too, with skyscrapers and 19th century classics. In the event of good weather, you should also visit Millennium Park, a former train line converted into a path that runs through different muds, Maggie Daley Park, and the entire coast with its 33 beaches and a vast path that runs along the Lake Michigan edge.

The Angels

It dates from the late 18th century. If you like Hollywood, you cannot miss it: the sign on the hill, the Hollywood Boulevard with its theaters and museums, the gallery of the National Academy of Cinema, and tours of celebrity homes.

Don’t forget the Grammy Museum, the Los Angeles Museum of Art, the cemetery, the Hollywood Heritage Museum, Universal Studios, and Disneyland.

Las Vegas

Although it draws a lot of tourists to this city in the middle of the desert, the game is not all there is to see or do. There are shows in the casinos, bars, restaurants and a nightlife like no other.

There are plenty of things to do outside of the city, like hiking, strolling through the Grand Canyon, and visiting the Hoover Dam. That supplies electricity to this city that never sleeps, along with Lake Mead and the Grand Wash Cliffs.

Among the museums I recommend are the Museum of Atomic Tests, Bellagio Botanical Gardens and its art gallery, the Eiffel Tower that offers great panoramic views, at the Paris Las Vegas Casino Hotel, the Aquarium with three shows a day and the famous City sign that is on Las Vegas Boulevard. This photo cannot be missed.

Although the United States has many other interesting cities, these seem to be the most touristic.

San Diego

Continuing with the saints and with California, San Diego, located near Mexico’s border, is another city worth visiting. Although it is not as well known as the previous one, it has some real wonders such as Coronado Island or the San Diego Zoo, as well as Balboa Park, where seals can be seen in their natural habitat.

Miami

One of those places we always hear about but don’t know much about is Florida. There is Miami, another city that has been explored on TV and in films, as well as a great tourist destination. Among its most popular attractions are its beaches, little Havana, and its skyscraper-filled city center.
