Are There Hotels That Allow Pets

Image result for Tips on Finding a Pet-Friendly Resort

Sometimes it seems as though we’re living to work rather than working to live. In an uncertain economic climate many of us are working harder and for longer hours than ever before and finding that the money we earn doesn’t carry us quite as far as it did last year. We all need to get away from it all every now and then. To escape the challenges and responsibilities of work and home. But many pet lovers are reticent to take a break if it means kenneling their fuzzy friends of leaving them in the hands of a stranger.

If only we could take our feline friends and canine compatriots with us whenever we go on our jollies. If only we could enjoy a pleasant getaway without worrying about how they’re getting along without us.

Good news for pet lovers

Worry no longer, because there are actually a surprising number of hotels all over the country which are more than amenable to bright eyed and wagging-tailed guests. So, pack your bags, make sure that your pet has plenty of treats for the journey- you can find a great selection at https://barkingheads.co.uk/collections/dog-treats and hit the road! Here are a few of our favourite pet friendly hotels from across the country…

The George & Dragon- Penrith

The North Lakes are a treat for humans and their pets alike. With stunning picturesque scenery, ample trails for long walkies and plenty of bodies of clean water for swimming, the lake district is a wonderful place to spend a leisurely week. And at The George & Dragon you’ll find a warm welcome for you and your pets. Your pet will enjoy their own free welcome pack including a toy, some treats, a bowl, blanket and map of great local walks. Plus, pets have access to almost all of the hotel, except for the dining room.

Artists Residence- The Cotswold

The Cotswolds are dog heaven and a perfect place for long walks surrounded by stunning scenery. There’s also locally brewed ales and sumptuous locally sourced food for their human companions, too. At The Artists Residence, a unique country pub with a charmingly artistic and bohemian vibe, you’ll find quality amenities for you and your pets. The walls are adorned with stunning contemporary art, the food is delectable and chic wicker baskets await your furry friends.

Soar Mill Cove- Devon

Brimming with character, Devon’s Soar Mill Cove is nestled in a flower-filled valley with its own beach, situated a short walk from the South West Coast Path. The hotel boasts a tennis court, spa, indoor pool and games room while there are plenty of stunning walks for you and your pets will enjoy. If things get a bit muddy, there’s even a wash-down area for muddy shoes and paws.  Your pets will have company, too as the hotel has two pooches in residence, yellow Labradors named Farley and Daisy.

The Egerton House Hotel-London

Feel like pushing the boat out for those most special to you (no matter how many legs they have?). How about treating the whole family to a stay at the incredibly chic Egerton House Hotel in Knightsbridge? Even if you can’t stay overnight you simply must treat your pets to Doggy Afternoon Tea.
