Armistice Day in the United States – Cards and images

United States followed the example of Britain and France in 1921, and buried the remains of an American soldier of World War I on a hill in Virginia. This site is known as the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and today is called the grave of the unknown. Located in Arlington Cemetery, the tomb represents the dignity and reverence for American soldiers. It is one of the most visited places on Armistice Day.
