The importance of the Gregorian Calendar

The problem of the origin of our era was resolved with the creation of the Gregorian calendar: if it states that the Christian Era began 1582 years before its creation and all countries respect this idea, all discussion should end; and the subjects of when Christ was born or what Dionysius Exiguus established cease to matter (at least from the point of view of time measurement). The final question was the adoption of the calendar and, as we have seen, all countries in the world have been taking over time.

History of the New Year

On December 31, we will raise a glass and toast with our loved ones for the beginning of a new year. It is a practice that we learned from birth and practiced systematically. But have you ever wondered why the year has 365 days? The Gregorian reform stems from the need to implement one of the resolutions of the Council of Trent: to adjust the timetable to close the gap produced from a previous council, Nicaea in 325, which had set the time astral in that Easter should be celebrated and, in connection therewith, the other mobile religious holidays. What mattered, then, it was the regularity of the liturgical calendar, for which it was necessary to make certain corrections in the civil. In the background the problem was to adapt the civil calendar year to the tropics.

Residents celebrate making as much noise as possible:-sounding car horns, church bells, whistles of all kinds, etc. The light show and fireworks that forms on the Australian city is priceless, especially if you can see the Sydney Opera House as a backdrop.

The visitor who comes to this mythical place New York can enjoy musical performances, fireworks, performances of balloons, confetti, etc. Throughout the month of December, hundreds of thousands of people write their wishes for the New Year on little pieces of paper which are then hung on a giant mural.
