New Year’s Eve in New York

New York New Year’s Eve is one of the most famous in the world. Close to one million people gather in Times Square to see how the famous crystal ball marks the entry into the New Year. The visitor who comes to this mythical place New York can enjoy musical performances, fireworks, performances of balloons, confetti, etc. Throughout the month of December, hundreds of thousands of people write their wishes for the New Year on little pieces of paper which are then hung on a giant mural. These pieces of paper are then launched from the top of Times Square as confetti. Another fairly resounding tradition is to kiss a person of the opposite sex to celebrate the New Year. Part of the fun of this tradition lies in the fact that this person does not have to be your partner.
