Cards and images to wish a happy “Qi Xi” or “Double Seventh”

The origin of the “Qi Xi” or Double Seventh festival dates back to the Han Dynasty (206 BC-220 AD). Historical documents of the Eastern Jin Dynasty (371-471 BC) mention the party, while reports of the Tang Dynasty (618-907) speak of a great feast that Emperor Taizong held with concubines on the occasion of the feast.

Today, you can still see these customs in rural areas, but in the cities the tradition has disappeared. However, legend has taken root in the hearts of people. In recent years, especially urban youth celebrated it as Valentine’s Day. As a result, the shops are filled with related products joy and love.
